O know these from my time in Hungary, but I am aware that something similar is available in Italy too.
The dough is a simple but fine yeast dough with a lot of butter. Washed with a two step yolk and egg white wash that creates the bark like look.
The filling are hand ground Poppyseed, orange and lemon peel, sugar, milk and a variety not spices (can contain nuts)
Served at room temperature cut into thin slices.
The price is a place holder because we make them from real small at about $11 to up to really big and about $20
